Mary Virginia Orna wins HIST award

Mary Virginia Orna, professor emerita of chemistry at the College New Rochelle and president ChemSource, is recipient 2021 HIST Award for Outstanding Achievement in History Chemistry, presented by American Chemical Society Division Chemistry. Orna being honored “for her exemplary leadership worldwide community history chemistry, especially original research area color pigment discovery elements, commitment to education, decades service continuing role supporting participating archeology chemistry.” The award, which includes an engraved plaque $1,500, will be during ACS Spring 2022 San Diego.
